Meniscus lens
Meniscus lenses can be either positive or negative depending on the relative curvature of the two surfaces. The center thickness of a positive meniscus lens is thicker than the edge thickness and is used to focus parallel light, while the center thickness of a negative meniscus lens is thinner than the edge thickness and is used to diverge parallel light.
